“Gifts in the Hall” By Elizabeth Chan | Christmas Music #158

Today was the harvest moon festival. Where the moon is it’s brightest and signals the bounty of the autumn harvest in Chinese cultures. I just got home and am literally in a food coma of sorts. I am actually half Chinese, and half Filipino. I was raised Catholic but my Chinese side is very Buddhist. Today I showed my grandmother my Christmas video whilst she was preparing her house with incense for the holiday. My grandmother usually lines up gifts of oranges for all of her grandchildren in her hallway. So this song is part inspired by the gifts of oranges, pears, pomelos, peanuts and mooncakes I received today. I hope you enjoy #158!
