Path Train Delay + Egg Shaker = “Get Back”

After finishing a session in Hoboken, I was bestowed a gift of a golden egg. I had never seen such a thing before but I had a good feeling about it. As I made my way back home, I jumped on the Path train from NJ to NY, and heard there would be a 15+ minute delay. I contemplated taking a taxi back, but decided that I would kill time shaking my egg. A guy sits down on the other side of my bench, semi whistling. Pulls out his iPad and begins to listen to the Beatles and whistles some more. I am shaking my egg to his music. He continues to whistle and before we know it, we’re sitting right next to each other finding the best Beatles songs to play with the egg.

This was the perfect song. After all, we both were trying to “Get Back” to Manhattan.

I just love where my new life has taken me. I feel happier, and I’m a better version of myself than I have been in years.
