No one says to Santa, “You can’t fly around the world in a single day.”

Santa does the impossible. So can you.

Santa does the impossible. So can you.

Clearly he does – so why are any of us the wiser?

Depending on the day, or the moment – the best or worst thing anyone can hear when pursuing their dream is – “That’s impossible,” “You can’t do that!” “I can’t help you because I don’t know how to do that.”

Case and point – last year I wanted to do a one shot music video in Times Square. I had never done a music video before. I spoke to around 2 dozen people who told me it was an impossible feat. “You need permits,” “How are you going to do that?” “I can’t help you, I’m too busy in my own life.” “There is no way you can pull this off in Times Square.” We know how that went, cause the rest is history.

If I learned ANYTHING from this past year, it’s that your life will never yield the opportunities you want if you meander in your self imposed boundaries. If you keep telling yourself that things are impossible, the more you contemplate the restrictions- the more you will become immobilized. If you focus on the opportunity and the possibilities, the windows swing open – and sometimes, someone will see you through that window and open a door.

Cause for anyone following their dreams – when that door opens, it sure feels like Christmas.
