I want to thank everyone for supporting me this year on #FailureClub.

The past week has been a truly humbling experience to watch New York City and New Jersey suffer such an enormous amount of damage from Hurricane Sandy. This is going to take years to recover from. I grew up in Battery Park City, which is right on the border of the New York and New Jersey zones hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy in the area.

As a New Yorker who lives in Lower Manhattan, I have watched people fight through broken traffic lights. Fight in grocery stores for food, and watched people dig through garbage bins for food.

I just walked through my neighborhood that still sits in the dark. Sitting helpless in my home had me think of different ways I could help.
